Microwave Timing Conversion Charts
As you learned in the Timing section, the amount of time you cook food in your microwave is of critical importance. With microwave cooking, the trick is to learn to cook by time not sight. Many people become frustrated when attempting to cook in the microwave because they do not realize that most recipes for microwave ovens are written for the 700-watt oven (the industry standard). However, you may have a different wattage oven than a 700-watt. What do you do?
The answer is easy. Just use our convenient charts that convert cooking times from a 700-watt oven to your wattage oven:
Conversion Chart Requests
If your oven wattage is not listed, we will be happy to add a chart here for you. Just post your request at our Facebook Page and let us know for what wattage oven you need a chart. The chart for your wattage oven will be added to this site as soon as possible.
Please understand that other factors other than oven wattage may play a roll in the amount of time you need to microwave food for a particular recipe in your microwave oven. For instance, the cubic size of your microwave may factor into the equation. These charts are meant to give you a good starting point for determining correct times. You may need to adjust times further when perfecting a recipe. Be sure to write the times that work for you on the recipe so you will know what works in your oven in the future.

Special Conversion Chart Requests
We have received many special requests for conversion charts other than for converting from a 700-watt oven. For example, if you purchased a new 1000-watt oven, and used to own a 600-watt oven, we have the chart to convert the cooking times that you are used to using in your previous microwave oven for you. The special charts requested and posted so far are:
Once again, if the conversion chart you need is not listed, we will be happy to add a chart here for you. Just post your request at our Facebook Page and describe the chart you need. Be sure to mention both the wattage of the oven you want to convert from as well as the wattage of the oven you need to convert to. Your chart will be added to this site as soon as possible.
