Coventry by PTS International Spring Rooster
Long a symbol of prosperity on traditional Italian pottery, the rooster features prominently on this dinnerware, surrounded by borders brimming with spring flowers. Hand-painted in an almost sketch-like style in muted reds, golds, and blues, the cream-colored stoneware brings a certain rustic sensibility to the table, and perhaps a touch of good luck as well. Because the dinnerware is hand-painted, some variations in color and shading are to be expected and only add to its appeal. The collection includes: 10¼-inch dinner plate, 7¾-inch salad plate, 8½-inch rimmed bowl especially designed for soup, and 16-ounce mug. While the rim of the soup bowl shows the floral motif on a creamy background, the interior is bright white and unadorned for contrast. The bowl is also the only piece that doesn't depict a rooster. Made of durable, chip-resistant stoneware. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
