Pfaltzgraff America
First introduced in 1983, Pfaltzgraff America was designed in cooperation with the American Folk Art Museum. America takes its inspiration from 19th-century objects in the museum's collection. The sponge and stencil motifs featured throughout America were adapted from the Bird of Paradise Quilt Top, while yellow-ware pottery provided the source for many of America's shapes. The pattern coordinates with Friendship Collection.
Pfaltzgraff retired America on December 31, 1989. The pattern was brought back as part of the Pfaltzgraff By Request Program and retired again on December 31, 2005.
