Café Fleur by Royal Worcester
Royal Worcester porcelain has been in production since 1751 and achieved grand success during the reign of Queen Victoria, producing elaborate dinner services for the Royal Family and the British aristocracy. While many of the older, more ornate patterns are of interest to collectors, this Café Fleur pattern is designed specifically for everyday living and appeals to modern tastes. The dinnerware is made of fine porcelain, a durable ceramic material formed from fired clay with a white finish and translucent sheen. As such, it is completely safe for the microwave, freezer, oven, and dishwasher. This is a mix and match collection of three patterns: Green, Sprays and Squares that were designed for extra intrigue when setting your table. Each pattern features a bright white background with green hues, popular decorating colors for traditional kitchens. Flowering Clematis, inspired by the flowers in English gardens, climb around the edges of the plates, center of the bowl, and sides of the mug on the Green and Sprays patterns. With the Squares pattern, a single flowering Clematis brightens up the center of the salad plate and bowl and inner side of the mug; a cheerful, raised white-on-white checkerboard pattern encircles the rims of all the plates (except the cereal bowl) and the outside of the mug along with a thinner strip of green-and-white checkered banding, both evoking the feel of a tablecloth at a casual outdoor café. All three patterns coordinate with the Café Fleur serving pieces.
