Bamboo & Rock by Spode
Bamboo & Rock pattern and other names and was later called Weeping Willow. At the factory the many different colored versions of the pattern had a unique pattern number and the design probably never had a name when it was first produced about 1806. It is thought to be based on a design from Chinese porcelain of the 18th century. One version in red is believed to have been used on service supplied to HRH the Prince of Wales who in 1806 had appointed Josiah Spode II Potter and English Porcelain Manufacturer to His Royal Highness.
